A FEW THINGS TO PONDER:
1. Join me for one day or two days.
2. This is a day for you to commune with God. We will gather together for a short time in the beginning and at the end, but you will have several hours just to yourself. Bring a bible and a journal, if you are led to do so.
3. This is the week after Easter and some of you have exhausted yourselves in the planning of that resurrection weekend or at the previous retreat and that is why I have chosen these days! Now is the time for you to be refreshed.
4. There is a small cafe at the entrance of Descanso Gardens where you can purchase food. You cannot bring food onto the grounds. You can store your food in your car (in a cooler) and go out and sit at the cafe area when you are ready to do so. Can you tell I have done this before? I will be entering into a time of fasting and would be encouraged if you wanted to join me.
5. The Lord is asking me to expand my territory. I have been leading retreats in Russia and this will be my first in LA. Would you keep this day in prayer?
6. There are TONS of benches throughout the 60 acres to discourage people from bringing blankets and/or beach chairs. I personally have a favorite bench -- thinking about etching my name on it :) just kidding!
7. My heart wants to open this up to all women leaders of New City Church and beyond, but Descanso Gardens probably would not be happy with me without renting a room. That being said, please feel free to invite a leader from a Grow & Serve group that I might not know.
